Our annual celebration took place on Thursday, March 6, after a special assembly led by Mrs Fisher, our English Lead our children spent the day enjoying curriculum linked workshops across the school led by our class teachers. This year’s theme at Upwell was ‘Fables’ and worked well with the National theme of ‘Read Your Way’ which aims to encourage children to see reading as a fun activity, rather than something they have to do as part of their school studies.
National Careers Week is a one-week celebration of careers guidance and free resources in education across the UK.
The New theme of 'Magic' was introduced for this half term. With a World Book Day theme, the children were asked to build a character from a book.

Bikeability is the Government’s flagship cycling training programme and is designed to give young people the skills and confidence to ride on today’s roads. Bikeability has been adopted as the chosen cycle training scheme by all but two local authorities in England.

Thank you to FOSA and all of our families for your continued support. It was smashing to see so much colour including pink and red in school in support our Valentines themed non uniform day!
We’re excited about our World Book Day celebrations on Thursday 6th March. We have a full themed day planned which motivates reading for pleasure with fun activities to share stories together in new and interactive ways.
Under the theme of Transport from Around the World, was cable cars.
Following our Maths Subject Showcase to parents' classes were immersed in maths for the whole day, completing activities directly linked to their classes' professions.
Mrs Marsters, our Mathematics Lead at Upwell led an excellent maths-themed day which parents and children were able to enjoy.
This week Mrs Marsters held a parent/carers KS2 SATs Workshop for parents and carers to support their child through the Year 6 SATS assessment process.
