In our new science topic, we have started to learn about plants and their needs.
On Wednesday, Year 6 joined the team at King’s Lynn Fire Station as part of their annual Crucial Crew event. Despite only being an afternoon, we were able to visit several helpful services, who shared information on how to keep ourselves and others’ safe.
Shakespeare Week is a national annual celebration giving primary school-aged children opportunities for enriching and enjoyable early experiences of Shakespeare.
Our community library opening last Saturday was enjoyed by current, past and prospective pupils alike. Children had the opportunity to explore our wide range of brand-new non-fiction books recently donated by the Edith Blunt Trust.
Welcome Back! I trust you have all had a wonderful Easter break. The Holiday and Fun Program has gone from strength to strength, with school opening to a large number of our pupils and children from the wider community attending and joining in the fun during the Easter break.
The Big Norfolk Holiday Fun (BNHF) programme provides holiday activities for children and young people aged 4-16 in Norfolk. Many pupils and wider community members joined the us at Upwell Academy during the Easter break.
On Friday 4th April, a team was selected from Y6 Kingfisher class to represent Upwell Academy at the Downham Market Schools Cluster Football tournament at Hillcrest Primary school.

Today, our youngest pupils enjoyed a trip to Church Farm for the day. Our day started with a coach ride which the children absolutely loved!
This week, we welcomed the School and Communities joined us on Friday to lead the second of two workshops for parents and carers which explored understanding children’s behaviour.
This week our pupils enjoyed their Easter Disco! The children were thrilled to see the hall beautifully decorated and loved the music from the DJ. It was an excellent event!
