Year 3 Weekly Round Up Archive
28th May 2021
We designed and decorated no gender specific T-shirts. We have been learning about gender stereotyping and how we are all different - which is a fab thing!
We have also been doing some assessments - we have all done our best. They let Miss Radford know what we know and what we need to revisit.
For writing we have written a description from a picture for our progress in writing books - these move with us up the school. The first one in some books is from July 2018!
In maths we have been learning how to use tallies and pictograms.
We are all ready for the half tern holidays - we have worked so hard this half term!
21st May 2021
Today we have been into the hall for assembly - the first time in over a year! It was just our class and Mrs Norman.
We have finished our magazine covers on the laptops today - they look really great.
In maths we have been learning about perimeter. We found out the playground has a perimeter of 134 m and the field has a perimeter of 400 m.
We have been writing our own similes in English.

In maths we have continued to learn our times tables, including playing bingo. We have been measuring in metres, centimetres and millimetres – including going outside to measure things.
For art we finished our Minotaur collages and they are now up in the classroom. They look fantastic and colourful.
The best thing this week was using the laptops. This is the first time we have used them in Year 3. We listened really well and enjoyed using them.
We have all worked very hard this week!
