Roald Dahl Day 2023

Happy Birthday Roald Dahl!

Today we have celebrated Roald Dahl’s 107^th birthday! While staff dressed up as just some of his most famous characters, children came to school in the famous author’s favourite colour – yellow!

We enjoyed an hilarious game show of ‘guess the character’, shared facts, extracts and fond memories linked to his books and the man himself in a special celebratory assembly.

In classrooms, children have been writing poetry, describing characters, developing their drama skills and much more. Our Reception children have been using their own writing hut to inspire their early creative writing skills.
